The lobbies of Gallery 49 were renovated in 2013 by award-winning architects, Moed de Armas and Shannon in an effort to create a venue that lends itself to thoughtful and public display of art. Special lighting was installed with hidden trollies along the perimeter from which paintings and pictures may be hung from the ceiling soffits. This renovation also fulfills the Landlord’s desire to benefit the public, the tenants of Tower 49®, and to appeal to a range of galleries and artists who might like to display their works.

The purpose of Tower49 Gallery is to integrate art into everyday life, enhance public enjoyment, and for art to be available and appreciated by everyone, including tenants of the building and the public.

Tower49 Gallery is truly a public space.
